What is Wild Fermented Sauerkraut?
Wild fermented sauerkraut is the result of salted cabbage that’s been pressed to remove any air, and allowed to ferment in ambient temperatures for anywhere between 3 days to 2 weeks.
Why Eat Wild Fermented Foods?
Wild fermented foods have been shown to increase the good bacteria in the gut, which can boost immune function, improve mood, assist weight loss, and aid digestion among many other benefits.
What Will I Learn?
In this class, you’ll be guided through the fundamentals of fermented vegetables while I prepare the wild fermented sauerkraut with you.
You will learn everything from how to sterilize your jars, how to select the best produce, which herbs and spices to use for the most delicious sauerkraut and the importance of which type of salt to use.
After this course, you’ll be confident and inspired to ferment everything!
For 25 years I’ve experimented and faced all the challenges in creating high quality and delicious fermented foods. During this class, I’ll answer all of your questions and teach you the tricks to making delicious wild fermented sauerkraut every time.
You’ll make wild fermented sauerkraut and learn how to look after it, explore what could go wrong, and come to understand the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of enjoying it with your meals.
There will be ample time to ask questions as I guide you and give you the confidence to start your own fermentation adventures.
